Ostarija Peglez`n in Bled

The best place for an evening meal in Bled! A cute, cosy and authentic restaurant offering a fantastic range of food and drink. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and reasonably priced, we had the fish platter and trio of desserts, which were both perfect.

We were there today afternoon. First impression: met with a really very rude waiter (one unacceptable behaviour for people in hospitality). Some dishes were ok and decent quantity, but shrimp pasta was very basic for the price. The whole table was swamped with houseflies. The only thing great was the view from the place. Finally, when we sat down we were given water and homemade bread, which is usually on the house, only to find a charge of 4€+ on the bill in the end.

What everyone says about the place, staffs and food is spot on. My only nit is the bread they bring to your table that we didn’t ask for but ate is actually not included with the meal but costs 2€. It’s not the cost but don’t like surprises. We came in October, at night is bit chill, thank goodness we where there early and got a inside table. On the way out I could lots of people have to eat outside in the cold. No thank you

Very friendly! Kept the cold water coming, which was most appreciated on this hot day. Delicious food! We liked the fish plate for 2! We also loved the red wine.

A nice restaurant in a good location. You will need to make a reservation. The gnocchi with prosciutto and rocket was absolutely amazing; the cevapcici on the other hand was dry. I would definitely go back for the gnocchi dish.

It is very touristic, prices are high and food is just ok, definitely doesn't worth the price. There are great alternatives nearby.

Excellent food! My family was here for lunch and I had the tuna which was the best tuna I've ever had! My brother took the salmon which was super. Mom had grilled a cheese plate and my pap risotto with seafood. Big portions, fresh food and warm served. Great staff and kindly also!

First and only bad experience in Slovenia! The food was ok, but nothing special. We had much better calamari in Ljubljana for half the price. But the service was really bad. The waiter was unpleasant and was annoyed at my questions about the menu. On top, he was also incompetent and forgot part of the order.

The staff is kind and fast, the outdoor seating has a view of the lake. The restaurant has a unique, cute ambiance. The gnocchi was very good, I shared an appetizer with my girlfriend (gnocchi) and we didn't manage to finish our main course because of how much it was. The chicken and sausages were delicious, the rest of the food was just good. We were too full to eat dessert, the prices are good.

This is a surprised. I didn't expect a small town world have quality seafood and dishes like this. Seafood platter - must try, it was delicious, even the vegetables were tasty. Sausages - surprisingly good. You figure just sausage but it was very tasty. Pasta with truffles - I know when you come to this area, you have got to try the truffles but for the price, this not only taste great but great value. There is this beer that's has fruit flavor, I don't like beer, refused to drink everytime but this... Oh my! I may turn into an alcoholic if they sell them in US

The location was by the lake side, although no nearby parking available. The food was Instagrammable. The grilled calamari and spicy sausage were tasty, but the seafood pasta has a very strong fishy taste. Maybe because we didn't order the seafood plate that was why the place was not as awesome to us as the other reviews.

A restaurant that serves your belly well and gives off a cozy and homey vibe. One of my favourite restaurants here in Bled. I enjoyed the food a lot! The octopus salad is a must try! I love their risotto too :) The staff were very friendly and the decor of the place is very cute. Of course, I will come back to eat again!

This was an amazing restaurant. The service was outstanding and the food selection allows for a choice of local Slovenian food and/or classic Italian dishes. It has a very charming atmosphere and the quality of the food was good.

Absolutely loved this place, I came with my boyfriend for our anniversary and we had a romantic and cozy dinner. Food was awesome, vegan and vegetarian options available and... perfect place if you really want to fill the whole as the portions are good value! We will come back if we are around for sure 😊.

Recommendation: go somewhere else. Waiting time 15-20min is okay because the restaurant was full. So we waited at the entrance. After couple of minutes some tables were free and the restaurant owner still let us wait despite his statement that the first free table belongs to us. He is clearly a power driven human being and demonstrated his arrogance towards the guests. Many guests left the waiting queue in the meantime. The food may be good but nothing sucks more than bad service. One will not enjoy spending money here for food!

We were looking for a nice place to have dinner and we found this super cute Oštarija in front of the lake. It seems a doll house! The food and the portion were amazing: we ate a fish soup to start and then a typical main course from here and a risotto. The waiters were easy going and really nice with us.We're going to come back!

Amazing food. No nonsende service. Just the setting could improve, dont know the use of the 2 towels.

Food portions were generous, staff were friendly, food arrived very quickly and everything was cooked very well. The fish pate was my favourite part of the meal! No desserts that didn't contain cream though, so had to look elsewhere for dessert.

Very funky and authentic Italian restaurant overlooking the lake. Well priced meals and very generous servings. Local wine served was excellent. It was very busy but the owner managed to fit us in, such happy, helful service. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We went based on the online reviews and found that the food quality is mixed. My husband got the vegetable risotto and raves about it! However, the other three in our party had different pastas and none of us were too keen on them. Not terrible by any means, just not great. Also, one of the waitresses (not ours thank goodness!) was very unkind to people coming in asking for tables, or asking for help. Not a very welcoming vibe.

Food is tasty! The portion size is gigantic, you can feed two people with a "warm appetizer". No heads up from waiter. We asked for 200ml of wine and were given a jug with unspecified volume, in the bi it was charged more than 200ml and once we complained they blamed us about it. They probably steal few euros here and there from tourists. Be careful.

Great food, reasonably priced.

We had octopus salad and fish soup for starter and both were great! Octopus was seasoned perfectly and soup rich in flour. Mains were seafood risotto which was amazing with abundance of seafood, and “Kranjska” sausage, which is very flavorful typical Slovenian sausage. Great and clean service even during corona time, we are coming again!

How sad. Ordered 200ml of wine - 2x 100ml as per standard in the country and this restaurant - but they charged 250ml. When I politely complained it was not what I ordered, the waiter made me feel cheap. Is it really worth it to lose respect over 1 EURO? It's never about the money. P. S. Our individual portions where huge, you can easily share in 2. Such a waste of food, or you end up eating too much and regretting later.

One of the best places I've ever been to, the food is delicious and beautiful, the waiter speaks at least 5 languages and super nice. If I could give 6 starts I would without a second thought!

Easy to find, close to the lake but located by the main street which is very busy. Not an issue if you're sitting inside but a bit annoying if you're outside. Nevertheless the food was very good. Friendly staff they speak several languages. Child friendly. Could be very busy and a reservation may be required if you're with a bigger group.

Salmon steak was oke but they charge €1 pp for bread that was just placed on the table without anyone asking.

We like the food a lot!

Food was really good but I was disappointed by the lack of vegetarian options. The truffle pasta was lovely. It was really quiet when we visited in January and we were given a free dessert whilst we finished our wine. Would recommend!
